Deadline to file nomination papers extended for City Council Members

The filing period for non-incumbents for the office of City Council Member has been extended. Interested residents must file nomination papers for the General Municipal Election by 5 p.m. on August 15, 2018. The deadline has been extended because one or more incumbent(s) did not file during the regular nomination period.

Anyone interested in running for City Council must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of Westminster, and registered to vote in Westminster at the time nomination papers are issued. Additional candidate information is available on the City’s website at http://www.westminster-ca.gov/our_city/depts/cityclerk/election/2018_candidate_handbook.asp.
